National SAAC Overview

The National Shelby American Automobile Club (SAAC) was founded in 1975 and was dedicated to the preservation, care, history, and enjoyment of the cars Carroll Shelby created. These goals have not changed. SAAC provides members with no-charge insurance appraisals, assistance in researching individual car histories, advice on technical matters, information on parts sources, serial number verification, and assistance in obtaining stated value insurance. SAAC has active regions in almost every state which hold their own exclusive events and every summer the club holds a blow-out national convention. A typical convention will include a real vintage race, open track high-speed running, parts swap, judged concours, popular vote car shows, and guest speakers which include drivers, mechanics, and fabricators of the proverbial Cobra, GT40, GT350, and GT500--household names in the world of domestic American performance cars.

The National Shelby American Automobile Club has approximately 4,000 members at present in the U.S. and another 500 outside of the U.S.
